Amman, the capital of Jordan, is a fascinating blend of ancient history and modern urban life, where Roman ruins stand beside bustling cafés and contemporary buildings. I began my exploration at the Amman Citadel, perched on a hilltop with sweeping views of the city and home to the Temple of Hercules and other archaeological wonders. From there, I visited the impressive Roman Theater, a remarkably preserved structure that still hosts cultural events today. I also stopped by the striking Blue Mosque, officially known as the King Abdullah I Mosque, with its beautiful blue dome and serene interior. My visit to Amman ended with a smooth departure from Queen Alia International Airport, marking the close of a memorable journey through Jordan’s rich heritage and landscapes. (30 photos) |
